Capillary Mats

Capillary mats have a very high moisture capacity—holding from 1 to 3 liters of water per square meter. A capillary mat absorbs and retains large amounts of moisture, gradually releasing it to plants in pots or trays placed on top. This ensures uniform watering without the risk of over-watering, as each plant takes exactly as much water as it needs.

Made from durable non-woven polypropylene and polyester, the capillary mat is UV-resistant, moisture-tolerant, and withstands temperature changes. It performs reliably both indoors and outdoors. Bottom watering is especially beneficial for many plant species, promoting healthier growth and reducing the risk of disease.

Capillary mats are widely used in greenhouses, propagation trays, indoor gardens, and commercial cultivation—from vegetables and fruits to ornamental and hanging plants. The mat is easy to cut to size with standard scissors and fits all container types: pots, trays, beds, and baskets.

To prevent contamination and mould growth, the mat can be covered with a fine-pore film that allows water through while keeping the surface clean and extending product life. Capillary mats offer a simple, efficient, and reliable watering solution for both hobbyists and professional growers.
